Jean-Baptiste Kaloya

Entrepreneur, graphic and web designer, app developer
Loving clear, minimal user interfaces

By the way, I'm also

Designing is a way to challenge our creativity.

I am a 19 year old creative Parisian student fond of graphic design, entrepreneurship and development.
I’ve always been interested in the world of technology and I started programming when I was 12.
From that moment on I enhanced my skills by learning server management and new languages such as Swift.
My skills and knowledge are self taught and I am now focusing myself on entrepreneurship.
Beyond that and in my spare time, I am a photographer and a tennis player (not a professional one but I’m working on it ! )
I also love to share most of what I do on social networks such as Instagram, Hype or Foursquare.

  • HTML 5 / CSS 3 / JS

  • PHP, Rest API, SQL

  • Swift 2 & 3

  • Photoshop, Illustrator

  • All Linux distributions

Always using the latest technologies

  • Responsiveness

Designing websites that fit into all sizes of screens to enhance their contents.
  • Proximity

Located in the center of Paris, France and easy to get in touch with.
  • Preciseness

The attention to details are primordial in all my projects
  • Clean and minimal interfaces

    Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
December 2010

After several months spent learning Web technologies, I released my first website on the 3rd of December 2010. It was called JBKaloya.com and dealt with video tutorials.

January 2012

2012 was a year of experiment: a friend of mine and I create a PHP Framework called Veloce (Quick in Italian). I was also chosen by a photographer for the webdesign of her portfolio.

At the end of 2012, I started a secret project called Toolbox. After months and months of dev, it was renamed CodingBox and was an intelligent and evolutive coding environment for dev. Unfortunatly the project was canceled for severals reasons such as server prices or big data problems. 2012 was also the year Pixelsdev was released.

In 2014 I learnt a lot about UI Design and I've also made my own business cards. In January 2015 I've started working on a mobile app called Chillness !

November 2015

2015 was a key year: after several months spent developing and designing I eventually released my first app called Hype! This app enables you to find via your smartphone trendy places such as coffee-shops, cocktail bars, restaurants and clubs that are nearby and open.
